Changing the Future of Golf. For Good.

It’s Official: Welcome to Loyaltee Golf®!

We have exciting news: Glendale Golf is now officially Loyaltee Golf®! This change marks the final step in our integration with our parent company, Parkwood Leisure, and a new era for our eight golf locations. The change representing much more than a new name – it’s a renewed commitment to our mission to be “Changing the future of golf. For good.”

As Loyaltee Golf®, we are leveraging new resources to enhance your experience by making the sport more accessible and welcoming to all, investing in sustainability to protect our beautiful courses, and continuing to innovate our industry-leading Loyaltee® plans to provide the flexibility and value the modern golfer needs.

While our name is changing, we reassure you that our friendly team and dedication to providing the same fantastic golf experiences remain our top priority, and we can’t wait to welcome you to this next chapter.

Golf Course Update

Autumn Perfection!

Great news! The course is fully open with absolutely no restrictions. We’ve been putting in major work, and the results are showing: the tees, fairways, approaches and greens are all in excellent, well-maintained condition.

Greens Renovation: Focusing on Performance

You’ll notice the incredible benefit of our recently completed greens renovation program. This intensive work ensures superior playability:

Deep Aeration: We used a solid tine verti-drain, going down a full 6 inches, to relieve compaction and enhance root health.
Topdressing & Scarifying: Followed by scarifying and applying 8 tonnes of sand topdressing for a consistently smooth, true putting surface.

Water Management: Keeping Playable

We’ve also focused on drainage. We utilised our Shockwave aerator across the course. This specialised process moves excess water efficiently through the soil profile and into the drainage system, keeping the course firm and playable even after a good downpour.

Ahead of the Game: Upcoming Work & Investment

We’re already thinking about the future of the course!

October Fairway Aeration: This month, we’ll be performing a vital verti-drain on all Fairways. This deep aeration is crucial for excellent drainage, ensuring a faster return to play and firm conditions through the fall and winter.
2026 Investment: We’ve prepared our projects for 2026, starting with an exciting new piece of machinery investment: a high-quality turf iron. This will take the smoothness and speed of our greens to the next level!

Winter League Kicks Off!

The Winter League is officially underway at Duxbury Park! Don’t let the cooler weather keep you away from the course – and remember, buggies are still available to hire! Keep your game sharp and enjoy the competition.

Highlights from the Course

ELGA Success: Back in September, we were delighted to host the ELGA (East Lancashire Golf Association) competition. The event was well-attended, and we received some truly fantastic feedback from this prestigious group, a testament to the quality of our course.
Bookings on the Rise: We’ve been busy! Our schedule continues to feature strong numbers of society bookings, and our popular Golf Fore The Ages sessions are consistently well-attended. It’s great to see so many groups enjoying their time at Duxbury.

Community Corner

We’re proud to support local community initiatives. A local SEN school has been regularly utilising our facilities, including the driving range and the expertise of our golf professional, providing a valuable and fun experience for their students.

Golf Shop Upgrade: Ready for Your Next Event!

We’re thrilled to announce a significant upgrade to the Golf Shop that adds a fantastic new dimension to the club: a dedicated private function space!

By installing double doors and a partition wall, we’ve transformed a section of the shop into a versatile room. This space is perfect for accommodating up to 12 guests and can be hired for a variety of gatherings – from a lively children’s party to a productive all-day business meeting.

Dining Update: Breakfast is Booming!

On the food front, our menu continues to be a hit. We especially want to thank everyone who has been joining us for breakfast – it’s been wonderful to see so many of you start your day here!

Our weekend breakfasts, in particular, have been incredibly well attended, so be sure to pop in early and enjoy a great meal before your round.

Centre Manager of the Year Award

We’re absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news! Our very own Jon Wilson has been named Centre Manager of the Year for 2025!

This prestigious award was presented at the recent annual Parkwood Leisure Manager’s Conference. What makes this achievement truly outstanding is the scale of the competition – Parkwood Leisure employs over 5,000 dedicated staff across the company!

Winning this title is a huge testament to Jon’s exceptional leadership, incredible dedication, and hard work in making our centre a standout success. Please join us in sending a massive congratulations to Jon for this truly impressive and well-deserved recognition!
