Lex Leisure Funding Drives Community Golf Instructor Programme

Richmond Park Golf Course was the host venue for October’s Community Golf Instructor Programme

Nine dedicated employees from Loyaltee Golf® have successfully completed the England Golf Community Golf Instructor (CGI) programme, delivered in October 2025 at Richmond Park Golf Course. The programme, which is designed to equip individuals with the skills to introduce golf to new and diverse audiences, was made possible by a grant from Lex Leisure CIC.

The intensive two-day course focused on developing core coaching skills, promoting a fun and inclusive approach to learning, and delivering engaging golf activities in community settings. The Loyaltee Golf® participants are now certified to run beginner sessions, working alongside PGA Professionals to grow the game from the grassroots level.

This grant has allowed us to invest in our team and, crucially, expand our capacity to bring golf to a wider audience. Our newly qualified Community Golf Instructors are enthusiastic about getting out there and making golf more accessible, proving that it’s a sport for everyone, regardless of age or background.”

The CGI programme is a key component of England Golf’s strategy to increase participation and diversify the sport. Instructors are trained to deliver sessions in non-traditional locations, such as parks, schools, and community centres, removing common barriers to entry like cost and intimidation.

The Loyaltee Golf® team members are now poised to implement their new skills across their respective venues, offering a welcoming introduction to the sport and helping to nurture the next generation of golfers.
